Kristin M. McGaver is an associate and litigation lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice.During law school, Kristin was a summer associate in Foley’s Litigation Department. She also served as a student attorney with the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office in its mental health division in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she reviewed and argued for civil commitments.
She was also a judicial extern for the Honorable John R. Tunheim of the United States District Court, District of Minnesota, where she conducted research on issues before the court and assisted in the drafting of court orders.
Education :
Kristin earned her law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School (J.D., 2017), where she graduated magna cum laude and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She was a Dean’s Distinguished Scholarship and 3M Scholarship recipient.
She served as a research & managing editor on the Minnesota Law Review and as a legal writing instructor for first year law students. She was also an active member of the Litigation and Trial Advocacy Group, Mock Trial Team, and Law Council.
She is a recipient of the Mondale Hall Engagement Award. She graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.A., 2013), where she majored in political science, sociology and legal studies.

Kristin is admitted to practice in the state of Wisconsin and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
