
Attorney Kristina Lenda has been in private practice since 2008. She primarily practices in the area of family law, probate and estates, elder law and real estate.
Attorney Lenda prides herself in taking a reasonable approach to divorce, balancing reasonableness with effective advocacy. Attorney Lenda brings to Brown Paindiris and Scott of wealth of knowledge, having worked on some of the highest dollar divorce cases ever brought in the Connecticut courts.
In those matters she gained experience assisting in the representation of highly compensated executives, business owners and/or their spouses. She has worked closely with trust and estates attorneys, determining the purpose and intent of trust instruments, along with identifying trust property. She also works with tax and financial advisors, evaluating tax ramifications for clients incident to a divorce.
Attorney Lenda has litigated countless hearings and trials. In addition to her experience with all aspects of divorce matters, she handles paternity and custody cases, relocation matters, termination of parental rights cases, and negotiates and prepares prenuptial agreements.
She routinely represents clients in post-judgment custody, support and visitation matters. Following law school, Attorney Lenda worked in the Connecticut State Judicial Branch for Superior Court Judges conducting legal research exclusively on civil matters.
Attorney Lenda is a graduate of Quinnipiac University School of Law where she graduated with honors. She earned her Bachelor’s degrees from the Eastern Connecticut State University. She co-authored the article ‘Til’ Death (or Divorce) do us Part: How Prenuptial Agreements Can Work With Estate Planning’ in 2010.
