
Kristy Blurton has dedicated her career to children and families caught up in the legal system. Prior to working with Holmes, Diggs and Eames, Kristy worked at Waco’s Children’s Advocacy Center and Harris County’s Office of the District Attorney, Child Abuse Division, where she worked closely with District Attorneys, Forensic Interviewers, CPS and law enforcement to address important and sensitive matters regarding the well-being of child victims and their families.
Kristy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she excelled in advocacy. She is also a proud Baylor Alumnus. While at Thurgood Marshall, she was the Chief Justice for the school’s James M. Douglas Board of Advocates, an organization that showcases the school’s best advocates in internal advocacy competitions.
She also represented her school at the National Black Law Student Association’s National Mock Trial Competition where her team placed fourth in the Nation, and at the American Bar Association Regional Labor and Employment Mock Trial Competition where her team took second place. She attained her Mediator’s Certificate through her course work at the Law School.
Kristy is a rising attorney with the firm, who began originally as a law clerk in 2013. Since obtaining her license, Kristy has handled and assisted with a variety of family law cases, including child support matters, enforcements, divorce, and child custody.
