Kya Marie Henley focuses her practice on commercial litigation, business torts, contractual disputes and financial services litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Kya served as a Public Defender in Baltimore County. Kya graduated from the University of Michigan Law School. During law school, Kya was a member of the Human Trafficking Clinic and the Juvenile Justice Clinic.
Kya served as a law clerk for the trial division of the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, an extern for the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission and a law clerk in the Office of General Counsel for a small governmental agency.
Kya was the vice president for the Black Law Students Association and a Graduate Instructor in the College of Literature, Science and Arts at the University of Michigan. Additionally, Kya is a former mock trial coach at the University of Maryland.
