
Kyle J. Steinmetz is an associate in the Chicago office of Mayer Brown’s Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. He has experience representing clients in a variety of civil litigation matters at the trial and appellate level in state court, federal court, and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including in arbitration and mediation.
Kyle’s practice focuses on the defense of corporations, including in telecommunications disputes, consumer class actions, and general commercial litigation. In his telecommuni- cations practice, Kyle advises companies on a range of issues, including regulatory and administrative issues under the federal Telecommunications Act and state regulatory laws, general commercial disputes, and the defense of class actions arising under state and federal consumer protection laws.
His commercial litigation practice focuses on complex disputes in a variety of areas, including energy, construction, post-acquisition disputes, and general breach of contract matters. Kyle has significant experience advising clients at all phases of litigation, including conducting internal investigations in advance of litigation, briefing and arguing dispositive motions, managing all aspects of discovery for complex commercial matters, defending and deposing fact and expert witnesses, and representing clients at trial. Kyle joined Mayer Brown in 2009.
