
LaTise Miller is a member of Taylor English’s Real Estate practice group, where she focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions. Ms. Miller has extensive experience closing acquisition, development and construction loans for a wide variety of projects.
She has represented lenders, as well as purchasers and sellers, in all stages of commercial real estate transactions. Ms. Miller also has extensive experience representing lenders in the workout, modification, restructuring and foreclosure of troubled commercial loans.
Ms. Miller has experience in residential and commercial closings, with a heavy emphasis on acquisition and development loans for new residential subdivisions and small commercial developments.
She has performed title exams and reviewed surveys, and has done heavy curative work. She has cured title issues, from vague, indefinite, or conflicting boundary lines, to tracking down heirs of deceased owners, to resolving gaps and gores left by intrafamilial, do-it-yourself conveyances.
Since 2010, 90 percent of her time has been spent representing lenders and owners, having been retained by their title insurers to resolve title claims ranging from survey issues, improperly executed and/or improperly recorded documents, access issues and so on.
