Laura Ganoza is a partner and litigation lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. She primarily represents business clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters, including but not limited to cross-border disputes, trade secret and non-compete actions, as well as a variety of intellectual property litigation matters, including trademark, copyright, and patent infringement matters.
Laura chairs the Litigation Practice in the firm’s Miami office. She is a member of the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution; IP Litigation; Trademark, Copyright & Advertising; and Latin America Practices, and a member of the Manufacturing Industry Team.
Laura has found success combining her litigation and IP experience on behalf of her clients. In addition to enforcing and litigating her client’s valuable rights, Laura manages the trademark and copyright portfolios for a wide range of clients and advises clients about how to obtain, maintain and protect their intellectual property rights, both domestically and internationally.
Laura’s recent representations include: obtaining permanent injunctions for franchisors against former licensees in trademark enforcement actions; obtaining and enforcing copyrights in the fashion industry; obtaining a favorable jury verdict and award of damages in a trade secret case, and successfully prosecuting and obtaining a federal trademark registration for the Coconut Grove Arts and Historical Association, Inc., for its trademark Coconut Grove Arts Festival®.
Education : Laura received her J.D. from New York University (with honors, 1996). She earned her B.A. from the University of Florida (with high honors, 1993).
