Ms. Laura Walker Plunkett is an Estate Planning and Administration and Tax Law Specialist, Certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization. She concentrates her practice in the counseling of owners of privately-held businesses and other high net worth individuals in their estate, tax and business succession planning and philanthropic endeavors, including private foundations, plus succession administration, including high-stakes fiduciary litigation.
She also practices in the area of state and local taxation and is fully-versed in the state and local tax incentives and tax credits available in Louisiana. Ms. Plunkett joined Stone Pigman in 2002 and is a member of the Management Committee.

Professional and Civic Activities:
Ms. Plunkett is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and serves on the Business Planning and Practice Committees. She was an officer for the Tax Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association from 2004 to 2013, when she concluded her service as Chair. She is a member of the board and Treasurer of the New Orleans Estate Planning Council.
Ms. Plunkett serves on the Cornerstone Council and Honor Roll of Advisors for the Greater New Orleans Foundation and is a member of the Catholic Foundation, Professional Advisors Council. She is a member of the board of the Symphony Volunteers, Inc., of which she was President in 2007 and 2008, and she serves on the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra Southshore Advisory Board.
She served on the National Association of Estate Planning Council 2007 Conference Committee. Ms. Plunkett is a graduate of the 2014 New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute and the 2006 CBNO/MAC Metropolitan Leadership Forum.
She is also a member of the Tulane Estate Planning Institute Advisory Board and the New Orleans Bar Association, Wills/Trusts/Successions Committee.
