Laurie Young’s practice centers on the litigation of maritime, labor and employment, hospitality and general litigation matters. She advocates for clients in both state and federal courts and before administrative law judges. Laurie counsels oil and oilfield service companies as well as employers in Jones Act and Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act issues.
She also represents businesses, including many hotels, in premises liability, products liability and workers’ compensation claims. In litigation involving municipalities, public agencies and employers, Laurie handles labor disputes related to statutes such as the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII and the American with Disabilities Act.
