Laurie A. Henry has more than 15 years of experience focusing on complex litigation, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical and medical device product liability defense and cosmetics and personal care products litigation.
She has defended significant lawsuits in multidistrict litigation, mass torts and consolidated proceedings, and class actions, as well as individual cases pending in state and federal courts across the country.
Laurie has significant experience handling wrongful death and catastrophic injury litigation, and has worked with and against many experts across the life sciences realm, and in a broad range of sciences, industries, and technologies.
Laurie has extensive experience representing sales and marketing personnel in depositions and in lawsuits.
Laurie also counsels clients on high-stakes matters outside of product liability litigation by assisting with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and compliance counseling. Laurie’s practice spans across FDA-regulated clients of all sizes and across industries.
It has included counseling clients on labeling compliance, marketing and advertising, recalls, risk management, and responses to citizen petitions. Laurie has also helped clients analyze warning letter trends, assess appropriate corrective action in response to FDA requests, and stay abreast of emerging regulatory trends.
In addition to her legal practice, Laurie has taken an active role in the firm’s recruiting efforts. She served on the Search Committee for seven years. Laurie has also been an active mentor, serving as a supervising attorney to candidates participating in the summer associate program and mentoring multiple associates as part of the firm’s Mentoring Program.
She is currently a member of the firm’s Women’s Management Council and a member of the Associates Committee.
