Lawrence Raab’s practice focuses on matters relating to public finance, real estate, and economic development throughout the State of Florida. Lawrence also represents community banks and developers in real estate secured and asset based lending transactions involving acquisition financing and loan restructuring.
He has extensive experience representing municipalities, state agencies, interlocal public bodies, 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, developers, and financial institutions in taxable and tax-exempt bond issues, and has served as bond counsel, purchaser’s counsel, and disclosure counsel in connection with a broad range of public finance transactions involving education, healthcare, housing, and infrastructure.
Prior to joining our firm, Lawrence served as a legislative assistant to Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, and later as counsel to the U.S. House Committee on Natural Resources, where he oversaw the financing and development of federal water and public power projects.
Lawrence holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a Masters of Public Administration (Public Finance) from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. He went on to earn his juris doctor from the Syracuse University College of Law (cum laude).
