LAYLA G. TAYLOR, a partner at Sullivan Hayes & Quinn, was very young when she decided to become a lawyer. Early in her legal career she clerked for Sullivan, Hayes & Quinn and was mentored by the senior partners. They taught her the importance of client relationships and of a command of the details.
She has always appreciated the firm’s collegial environment, with its culture of respect that extends not only to the clients and the courts, but also as to the opposing side as well. “A union representative once told me he loved working with my firm because even though we rarely agree to what his clients want, we are respectful and never patronizing.”
Layla, a generalist in employment and labor law, is able to navigate tough state and federal terrain on a variety of issues. She successfully represents clients in complex employment-based litigation.
She has a wealth of knowledge in immigration and school law. Layla relies on thorough preparation and focuses on helping clients establish best practices that prevent conflicts and lawsuits. Having successfully represented clients in cases of first impression, she is often called upon by legal publications for comments on unique questions of employment law.
Layla is married to a sculptor and they are both deeply involved in the local arts community. Together they love exploring the local restaurant scene. She also enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking, gardening, and the beaches at the Cape. She is involved in a number of civic and volunteer activities.
