Lee Deneen is a member of the Litigation & Trial Practice Group and focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation. He has litigated a variety of disputes in trial and appellate courts around the country, including disputes related to breach of contract, antitrust law, products liability, and securities law.

Lee also has a vibrant international arbitration practice representing clients in cases involving intellectual property rights, transnational joint ventures, and contract disputes. Lee has defended clients in cases involving hundreds of millions of dollars in damages.

Before joining Alston & Bird, Lee served as a law clerk to the Honorable John Rogers of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He draws on this experience when developing case strategy, drafting briefs, and preparing for oral arguments.

Lee also has a deep commitment to pro bono work, winning asylum for a persecuted child and representing another immigrant in an Eleventh Circuit appeal.

Lee received his J.D. in 2015 from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he graduated first in his class and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. He also served as executive articles editor of the Georgia Law Review.

In 2012, Lee received his B.A., summa cum laude, in political science and French from Furman University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Lee speaks fluent French.
