Lee Lester focuses his practice on securities and general corporate law. His experience includes public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and corporate formation. In addition, he regularly advises public companies on insider trading, corporate governance, fiduciary duties, stock exchange listing requirements and filings under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, including proxy statements and periodic financial reporting.
Lee has also assisted a number of financial institutions with bank regulatory and compliance matters and executive compensation arrangements. Lee received his Bachelor of Science degree with special attainments in commerce, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University and his Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law.
While in law school, Lee served as annual survey editor of the University of Richmond Law Review and authored the note, “Small v. United States: Defining ‘Any’ as a Subset of ‘Any,’” 40 University of Richmond Law Review 631 (2006). He was also a member of the McNeill Law Honor Society.
