Lee Livingston has a 23-year history of success helping people who have been harmed by the negligence of others in the Courts throughout Virginia. This has resulted in a long list of peer review awards including Best Lawyers.
US News and World Report medical malpractice lawyer of the year in 2012 and personal injury lawyer of the year in 2015 and 2017, in Charlottesville. He is currently president of the Virginia Trials Lawyer’s Association.
Lee has achieved multiple seven-figure verdicts and settlements by pursuing full justice for deserving people. In 2015 he won the first verdict by a patient against a doctor in Augusta County, VA.
Lee’s record of leadership and teaching responsibilities among lawyers highlights the priority he places on providing exceptional advocacy to his clients and his passion for justice. He represents Central Virginia as an elected member of the Virginia State Bar Council.
He has chaired the Virginia State Bar litigation section and the mandatory continuing legal education board. He was selected by The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia to work on a committee which writes and edits jury instructions for all Virginia cases.
He chairs an evidence committee that publishes a guide to evidence distributed to all judges in Virginia. He has taught trial evidence and trial advocacy at the University of Virginia School of Law since 2002.
