Leigh Anne Newcomer’s practice focuses on corporate and transactional matters. Leigh Anne works with corporate practitioners across the globe and advises clients across a wide range of industries, including both privately held and public companies, on commercial agreements, corporate formation and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and general business and organizational matters. Leigh Anne also has a developing concentration in securities law.
Prior to joining the firm, Leigh Anne worked for two of the world’s largest law firms, the Air Force and Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. As a civilian paralegal, Leigh Anne provided legal research and writing assistance to staff attorneys at the Air Force’s federal law enforcement agency in the areas of Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, criminal, civilian labor and employment, operational, and civil law.
As part of the Army civilian support staff, she provided comprehensive legal support and services to a worldwide community of soldiers and family members while working at some of the JAG Corps’ European offices and at the Army’s highest court in Northern Virginia, where she established the appellate victim-witness liaison program.
During law school, Leigh Anne gained additional international experience through her studies in EU law and comparative legal systems at St. Anne’s College at the University of Oxford. Leigh Anne further developed her legal research and writing skills while working at the Ohio Crime Victim Justice Center, where she wrote various motions and pleadings. Her student note also centered on legal remedies for victims and was published in the Ohio State Law Journal.
