Ligia Parmenter founded her law office in 1995 because she saw a need; and she saw that her life experiences and compassion could be used to make a difference in the lives of her clients.
Ms. Parmenter entered the practice of law upon graduation near the top of her class from the San Francisco Law School. She has practiced in the State of California for twenty years and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
Ms. Parmenter was also a legal intern with the San Francisco Office of the Public Defender and with the East Bay Covenant of Berkeley, California. In addition, she volunteered with the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Volunteer Legal Services Program.
As an attorney Ms. Parmenter has appeared as a guest speaker at several conventions and conferences. She has also appeared on television and been quoted in the newspaper in connection to her legal work.
Ms. Parmenter received her Bachelors degree in International Relations with minors in Urban Studies and Economics from the California State University at San Francisco. Upon graduation from her under graduate studies, Ms. Parmenter led a carreer in banking until she was admitted into law school.
