Lilit Asadourian’s practice focuses on commercial and financial services litigation with an additional emphasis on insurance recovery. Lilit’s practice includes representing financial institutions in connection with Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS) and loan-repurchase litigations and settlements.
Lilit also works on a number of high value matters pursuing mortgage insurance coverage for defaulted mortgage loans. Lilit also represents corporate policyholders in breach of contract and bad faith disputes involving first and third party coverage claims arising under commercial general liability, fiduciary, property, E & O, D & O, and Employer’s Liability policies.
Lilit has also acted as in-house counsel for Bank of America and Fifth Third Bank overseeing commercial litigation and regulatory investigation and enforcement matters and providing advice regarding RMBS, mortgage servicing, insurance, retail banking and commercial lending-related matters.
More broadly, Lilit’s experience includes representing financial institutions, credit and mortgage originators and servicers, and technology and construction companies in large and complex commercial disputes, securities actions, business torts and fraud claims, government investigations, and consumer fraud and unfair competition claims brought pursuant to California’s Unfair Competition law.
In addition to representing clients in litigation, Lilit routinely provides strategic guidance to senior management on business practice and risk management issues, and counsels clients on dispute resolution and loss mitigation strategies. Lilit also has extensive experience managing and coordinating electronic discovery.
