The juris doctor degree Lindsay Decicco received that year was conferred on her by New York Law School. While there, she distinguished herself academically to such an enviable extent that she was appointed during her first year of studies to be a teaching assistant.
In that role, Ms. Decicco was responsible for helping her fellow students understand and apply contract-law principles and for showing them how to write well-reasoned, correctly articulated legal arguments and analyses.
She entered New York Law School as a Presidential Scholar, an honor accorded her on the basis of a stellar academic record and an equally stellar Law School Admission Test score.
That impressive scholastic record was achieved in part from her years as an undergraduate student at Fordham University. She graduated from Fordham in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature and a minor in political science.
Her grades were so high that, during her junior year, the school offered her a place in one of its accelerated master’s degree programs — she opted instead for law school.
Ms. Decicco currently is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey. She is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
