Lindsey Thomson is a native of Ashdown, Arkansas. She received her bachelor’s degree from Ouachita Baptist University located in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, with a double major in Biology and History, and a minor in Chemistry.
She served as president of the debate club and won numerous debate competitions over the years, including several held at the University of Arkansas. She graduated with honors cum laude in May of 2006.
Fresh out of college, she attended William H. Bowen School of Law of the University of Arkansas located in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She primarily focused her studies on criminal defense and family law. While enrolled, she worked part time at the Taylor King Law Firm, which specialized in personal injury litigation.
She graduated a year early from law school. She received her juris doctorate degree in December of 2008 and obtained her license to practice law in Arkansas and Texas.
Lindsey began her legal career in downtown Little Rock with Hosto & Buchan law firm as an associate attorney.
She managed and litigated hundreds of cases throughout the state of Arkansas, representing notable clients such as U.S. Bank, Bank of Arkansas, Ford Motor Credit, Citibank, Capital One, and Discover.
In 2010, Lindsey opened her own solo practice in her hometown of Ashdown. She desired to serve her hometown community and live closer to family.
She extensively broadened her practice to various areas of law, but primarily focuses on criminal law, family law, real estate, and civil litigation.
In 2015, she was elected as the first female City Attorney of Ashdown, Arkansas., where she serves as general counsel for the city and prosecutor in municipal court.
She has been a member of the American Bar Association, Texarkana Bar Association, Arkansas Bar, Texas Bar, Christian Legal Society, and CASA board.
She is also a classically trained pianist, DIY enthusiast, avid gardener, history nerd, and devout razorback fan.
