KoonsFuller first met Lindsey Underwood in the summer of 2015, when she was chosen to be a Summer Clerk at the firm. We knew right away that she had a bright future. The recipient of multiple academic scholarships, Lindsey graduated magna cum laude from the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in business administration/accounting. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Baylor Law School where she was a Presidential Research Fellow and a member of the Baylor Law Review editorial board.
“I knew from my first day in law school that I wanted family law to be my focus,” says Lindsey. “I think I’ve always had a servant’s heart. I love helping people, and family law is a profoundly meaningful way to do that.”
As a master of details and an empathetic listener, Lindsey was in demand as a research assistant for her professors in law school. She now brings those skills to her work with clients. Lindsey says, “Family law matters create strong emotions and involve layers of detail; people need to know they’re being heard. Helping clients understand the fine points allows them to focus on the big picture.”
Lindsey is a member of the State Bar of Texas/Family Law Section and the Family Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association. She is a trained mediator and has extensive courtroom training. She has worked on cases in Dallas, Collin, Denton, Rockwall, and Ellis counties.
“Being a KoonsFuller attorney is meaningful. The expertise and resources this firm offers are unmatched in the Southwest. I’m so proud to be a part of this team,” Lindsey said.
