Lisa Braxton is a member of the Firms Labor and Employment Client Service Group. Her practice includes representing employers on a broad range of employment issues, including those arising under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (“ADEA”), the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), the Family and Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”), the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”), and related state and local laws.
In addition to employment-related claims, Ms. Braxton advises organizations on a variety of employment matters, including restrictive covenants, the development of effective personnel policies, performance management practices, disciplinary issues, internal investigations, employee leave and attendance matters, reasonable accommodations, wage and hour compliance, and separation agreements.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Braxton served as senior counsel for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. While at Turner, Ms. Braxton was responsible for advising the company on a variety of employment issues, as well as negotiating, drafting, and enforcing employment and independent contractor agreements, overseeing the drafting and implementation of company-wide policy initiatives and conducting management training on policies and management best practices.
