Lisa Carolyn Dumond has spent her entire professional career trying to make a difference for the people She serve. Prior to earning my law degree, I served in the legal field for more than 20 years assisting clients during the worst times in their lives.
While working as a paralegal, I came to understand that I could do more to help families, and most importantly, the children who had no voice in the courts, by continuing my education and becoming a lawyer. My determination to succeed was my driving force through law school and helped me earn my law degree, with honors.
I am very familiar with our state’s laws and courts. Whenever possible, I know how to expedite the court procedures and provide prompt legal action. My legal and procedural knowledge helps me create a sound legal strategy best suited to meet your needs.
While I represent individuals and families in a host of areas, I take pride in serving as a Guardian ad Litem. In this position, I represent the best interests of children in divorce and custody matters, both pre- and post-judgment.
In order to serve as a Guardian ad Litem, one must complete the required training from the state of Connecticut. I am often appointed by courts across the state because I am known for my tenacious advocacy.
I am fully invested in the success of my community. I volunteered for many years in several capacities, such as coach and/or manager of the town’s girls’ soccer teams, by serving on the Executive Board of the Prospect Youth Soccer League, and more recently, as Co-President of the Woodland Regional High School’s Soccer Booster Club.
