Liz Braswell is a staff attorney in the firm’s WilmerHale DiscoverySolutions Department, focused on substantive and strategic areas of discovery for Litigation Controversy matters. Ms. Braswell focuses her practice on issues of e-discovery.
Specifically, she works with other attorneys, litigation technology project managers, and paralegals on teams that manage electronic and other documents in large cases and investigations. Attorneys on these teams take a leadership role in the document control process, systematically tracking documents from preservation to collection and through review and production.
They work with e-discovery vendors and their review and analytical tools; review documents; train and oversee other firm and contract attorneys who review documents; and partner with project managers to perform production quality control.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Braswell was a document reviewer with Law Counsel Staffing where she reviewed opposing and third-party documents for relevance as part of litigation discovery.
Previously, she worked as a legal intern at a law firm subsidiary in Tbilisi, Georgia, a document reviewer at Compliance and The Clutch Group, and as a contract attorney in the litigation department in the Washington DC office of a Chicago-based law firm.
While working to obtain her JD, Ms. Braswell served as a mediation advocacy teaching assistant. In that capacity, she demonstrated techniques used in mediation sessions to class members during mock negotiation exercises
From 2000 to 2007, Ms. Braswell held a variety of marketing-related positions with minor league baseball teams in which she focused on entertainment activities, community outreach initiatives, media coverage and promotional events.
