Liza J. Brackman concentrates her practice on energy, environmental, and mass torts law. She is experienced in representing entities and its officials and employees in all stages of state and federal litigation in cases involving claims for civil rights violations, intentional torts, employment disputes, declaratory judgments, mandamus actions, takings claims, and others.
Prior to joining the Firm, Liza was general counsel and contract administrator for Montgomery County Environmental Services where she analyzed, facilitated, and negotiated contract terms and conditions, advised senior executives and staff on a variety of legal matters, and knowledge as a member of various management teams, including water appeals board, financial steering committee, leadership steering team, and the Solid Waste District executive committee.
Liza has also served as an associate for multiple law firms in Dayton, Ohio, as well as an attorney for the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office, Ohio 12th District Court of Appeals, and Licking County Court of Common Pleas.
During law school, Liza held two internships within the Southern District of Ohio. She served as a law clerk in the criminal division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office and as a judicial extern for the Honorable Gregory L. Frost.
