Lizette M. Fernandez is a registered patent agent who focuses her practice on devising and implementing strategies which maximize the value of the patent portfolios of companies, universities and research institutions. Her extensive scientific background allows Dr. Fernandez to integrate with clients’ technical and executive teams to create sound and practical solutions for growth, organizational development and eventual exit strategies.
Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Fernandez was a patent agent with an Atlanta IP law firm. Dr. Fernandez was also Chief Intellectual Property Officer at Zirus, where she managed the company’s patent portfolio and was involved in licensing and competitive intelligence.
Throughout her doctoral studies, Dr. Fernandez was funded by the National Institutes of Health to perform research in molecular endocrinology.
Dr. Fernandez is fluent in Spanish.
