Lori J. Rapuano currently focuses on products liability cases, but has also handled a variety of commercial litigation matters, especially in the area of intellectual property and insurance coverage.
Lori primarily manages large-scale e-discovery projects in multi-jurisdictional pharmaceutical cases. She advises clients on collections of custodial data, search strategies for electronically stored information (ESI), document review protocols, productions from structured databases and implementation of defensible and repeatable processes for case-specific discovery, often under a Defendant Fact Sheet protocol.
Lori also develops and implements strategies for coordinating written discovery responses in pharmaceutical litigation, to achieve consistency across cases in different jurisdictions. Lori works with scientific experts to communicate the client story about clinical studies within the context of litigation.
With a thorough understanding of how clinical studies are conducted, she focuses on how a particular study was designed, what it was intended to look for, what the results mean, and how the study can be placed in the context of the larger body of research. This helps provides a clear, accurate picture of the study as it relates to a particular case.
