
Luis de Armas is a partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP and is the former Chairman of the Corporate Transactions Practice Group. He serves on the firm’s Compensation Committee and previously served on the Executive Committee.
He has over 30 years of experience representing clients in corporate and securities law matters, as well as real estate finance and transactions. He has a strong reputation for structuring and negotiating complex mergers and acquisitions, including acquisitions of financial institutions as well as leveraged and international transactions.
He also represents foreign institutions in connection with their investments and operations in the United States. Outside of his practice, Luis is active in the Miami community, currently serving as a trustee for the Carrolton School of the Sacred Heart, AMIkids of Miami-Dade and on the Orange Bowl Committee.
