Luis C. Hansen is an associate in Outten & Golden LLP’s New York office, and a member of the firm’s Individual Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Mr. Hansen practiced at a boutique employment law firm in N.J., where he represented employees in discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower, wage, and overtime matters.
Previously, Mr. Hansen served as a law clerk for the Hon. Jose L. Linares in the District of New Jersey. He also worked as a workers’ rights attorney for a boutique employment law firm in Austin, Texas.
Mr. Hansen graduated from Harvard University in 2008 and earned his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 2012. During law school, Mr. Hansen was a student attorney with the Juvenile Justice and Criminal Trials and Appeals Clinic, litigating juvenile criminal matters and claims of wrongful convictions.
He also worked as a legal intern for the Farmworker and Landscaper Advocacy Project, advocating on behalf of migrant workers for fair wages. Mr. Hansen is admitted to the New York and New Jersey Bars. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Southern District of New York.
