Lyndon Chee draws from an extensive background representing individuals, commercial enterprises, and public entities in a variety of matters, both transactional and in litigation.
Mr. Chee focuses on surety, construction, and business disputes, and has successfully represented clients in trial, litigation, arbitration, and mediations, representing both plaintiffs and defendants.
He prepares and negotiates contracts and other agreements on behalf of clients, and has extensive experience in the various aspects of surety practice, including claims handling, defaults and project takeovers, payment bond claims, contractor bankruptcy, and pursuit of salvage recoveries.
Mr. Chee began his legal career at the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office as a Deputy City Attorney where he advised and represented senior city officials and staff on all aspects of public contracting and construction, from pre-construction planning, drafting enabling legislation, procurement of professional consulting services, advising on public bidding requirements, responding to bid protests, and through litigation of construction disputes and claims.
In private practice he has represented individuals and entities on a variety of general corporate matters and commercial disputes. In addition to construction, Mr. Chee has handled matters involving contract disputes, corporate compliance, trademark prosecution, antitrust issues, professional malpractice, bankruptcy, and employment discrimination and harassment.
