Lynn K. Brugh’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, mass tort and products liability, bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and collections. Mr. Brugh has represented numerous multinational equipment and product manufacturers in Virginia’s very active asbestos litigation.
He has also represented a Fortune 500 auto parts company in franchise disputes, commercial litigation and products liability lawsuits. Mr. Brugh has extensive jury trial experience in state and federal courts including lead and local counsel in the “Rocket Docket” of the Eastern District of Virginia.
Mr. Brugh is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Mr. Brugh has been named one of Virginia’s “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business magazine. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Richmond Bar Association and the Virginia Bar Association. In addition, Mr. Brugh serves on the board of directors of Richmond Little League and is immediate past president of the league.
Before joining the firm, he served as a law clerk to Honorable Glen M. Williams, Senior Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia.
Mr. Brugh is a 1994, cum laude, graduate of the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. While in law school, he won the Trial Advocacy Competition and was a regional quarter-finalist in the National Trial Advocacy Competition. He received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Virginia in 1986.
