Majorie M. Winters brings over 13 years of experience to a practice that supports corporate growth, international expansion and acquisitions while protecting startups and emerging businesses against legal risks. Majorie is a co-founder of Gardere Catalyst, an early-stage legal incubator program for select early-stage, high-growth potential startups. She counsels entrepreneurs in matters related to formation, structuring, intellectual property / trademark protection and financing.
Majorie represents clients as a savvy business and legal strategist who blends backgrounds in corporate law and entrepreneurial business as she evaluates and advises on opportunities for building competitive positions in a variety of markets.
Prior to joining the firm, Majorie served as of counsel and director of a program that served the specific needs of early-stage, high-growth companies. She was also vice president and general counsel for Trade Technologies Inc., a software and services company that processes over $9 billion in global transactions per year.
In that role, Majorie oversaw all intellectual property, corporate, compliance, human resource and commercial agreements, litigation, mergers and acquisitions and financial matters, including budgets and projections.
