Manuel Ugarte is attorney of Landerholm Immigration APC. I am the son of Mexican immigrant parents and the oldest of five children. I speak Spanish, English and conversational Portuguese.
I graduated from Penn State Law School, where I was a board member of the Latino/a Law Students Association and the Public Interest Law Group. I received my B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara and studied a semester abroad at Lancaster University in Lancashire, England.
Prior to joining Landerholm Immigration, A.P.C., I worked on immigration and criminal defense matters at a boutique firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have represented individuals and argued before immigration courts throughout the northeast region of the country.
I also advocated for low-income and minority communities at the Greenlining Institute and sought to create pipeline programs for underrepresented youth in the science field through partnerships with biotechnology companies and grass-roots organizations. I love working with immigrants because we are hardworking, humble and caring people that want the best for our families and communities.
I am licensed to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania.
