In 2004 I moved on to become instrumental in founding Equity Investment Exchange, a new IRC 1031 Like-Kind Exchange subsidiary.
As general counsel for Equity Investment Exchange, I was integral to laying the legal foundation of the newly formed subsidiary and also became a valuable business development resource.
I assisted clients in minimizing tax liabilities while divesting of unwanted real estate assets and reinvesting in new assets.
I worked closely with clients on simple sell/buy projects to more sophisticated joint venture, non-safe harbor reverse exchange projected spanning a period in excess of the traditional 180 days.
Most recently, in 2007, I decided to move from San Francisco to San Diego and start a new solo practice.
During the past few years I have counseled clients, consumers and corporate/business alike, to a more secure financial future, providing counseling to maximize the benefits of corporate/LLC entity structures, addressing and resolving real estate matters, and, as necessary, providing bankruptcy and loan workout solutions.
