Marcos Basso, Foreign Legal Consultant, is a partner in the Firm’s International Commercial Practice Group. Mr. Basso’s practice principally involves advising US and foreign clients on cross-border corporate and business transactions. Mr. Basso speaks both English and Spanish fluently. Mr. Basso previously worked in the Firm’s offices in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Caracas (Venezuela) and Dallas.
Mr. Basso focuses on the structuring and implementation of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, global corporate reorganizations and international investments on a wide range of product and service sectors.
He routinely advises clients on the structuring of their international operations and the negotiation of complex international commercial agreements and arrangements. Mr. Basso provides clients with strategic advice on global expansion matters and has particular experience in the coordination of complex multijurisdictional transactions.
Mr. Basso has significant experience assisting companies on international government tender process, in particular in the oil and gas industry.
