
Marcus Augustine represents clients in disputes involving construction, energy, and financial services matters. Marcus handles matters for owners, general contractors, and subcontractors in almost every aspect of construction projects, including the initial bid phase and disputes that arise during construction and post-construction issues which include delay, defect claims, and lien and bond claims.
Marcus also counsels clients in the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts. He has extensive experience drafting and negotiating AIA documents, design/build and EPC contracts.
Marcus has a particular interest in the power and energy industry. He previously served as a senior attorney for a regulated electric utility company, where his practice focused on providing day-to-day risk and contract advice for the company’s construction projects, advising the company’s management team in the negotiation of project agreements, and dispute resolution.
Additionally, Marcus assists various financial service providers in litigation, regulatory compliance and enforcement matters. He has actively represented financial institutions involved in lawsuits in a variety of matters in both federal and state courts.
