Before starting her legal practice, Maria Thompson-McSperitt was a strong advocate for victims of domestic violence. For many years, she helped victims of domestic abuse to set goals, garner resources essential to achieving those goals and instituting a template for them to recover as survivors while also ensuring the safety of the victim and their children.
She started as a legal practitioner and opened an office at Huntsville in Arkansas after passing the Arkansas Bar in 2011.
She is involved in general law practice such as small estate planning, misdemeanor criminal representation and parent counseling. Her focus and expertise is in family law.
