Maria Ott is a staff attorney in O’Melveny’s Washington, DC office and a member of the Litigation Department. Prior to joining O’Melveny, Maria worked in the legal recruiting industry , staffing attorneys in major law firms throughout Washington, DC Maria also served as the merger integration and trade associations manager in the Antitrust Group of a large law firm where she supervised the coordination of pre-merger activities for multi-billion dollar mergers.
She also participated in founding a new trade association sub-practice within the Group. Maria is fluent in Portuguese and French and has lived and worked extensively overseas including in Dili, Timor-Leste where she was involved in a judicial reform initiative through USAID, and in Tolochenaz, Switzerland where Maria worked in international contract management for a medical technology company.
Maria is an avid participant in the performing arts with over 30 years of study and performance in dance. She is a teacher of the Meisner Technique of acting, as well as a stage director and actor in theaters in Frankfurt, Germany and Washington, DC.
