Marian S. Shin regularly represents investment advisors in the formation, structuring and operation of private investment funds, including private equity funds, hedge funds and hybrid funds, co-investment vehicles and single-investor partnerships. She also has extensive experience in the negotiation of separately managed account agreements. Marian represents investment firms in the establishment of their investment advisory business, including structuring carry-sharing arrangements, seed transactions, joint venture arrangements, and key person and succession matters.
She advises institutional investors in their investments in private equity and hedge funds. Marian’s prior experience also includes serving as in-house legal counsel at Morgan Stanley Investment Management Inc., covering its institutional business in the Americas.
