
Mark joined Skoubye Nielson & Johansen, LLC in 2015. His practice focuses on commercial and general litigation matters, including contract disputes, construction law, transportation law, property disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, and insurance disputes.
Prior to joining Skoubye Nielson & Johansen, LLC, Mark practiced at the firm Smith & Glauser, P.C. primarily in the areas of insurance defense, construction defects, and personal injury litigation. This followed a judicial clerkship for the Hon. Karen Lansing at the Idaho Court of Appeals.
During law school, Mark worked or interned for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Utah, the Salt Lake Legal Defender Association, the Utah Third District Court, and Utah Legal Services.
In 2011, Mark received his J.D. with High Honors from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he was a William H. Leary Scholar, a Quinney Student Fellow, and an articles editor for the Utah Environmental Law Review.
While there, he received a number of other awards for academic achievement and pro-bono legal service in the community. Mark graduated from the University of Utah with a B.A. in English and a B.S. in Sociology.
Mark is a member of the Utah State Bar and is admitted to practice in both state and federal court. He is a member of the Litigation and Construction Law Sections of the Utah State Bar Association.
