Mark Zaruba focuses his practice on representing clients with respect to securities, corporate governance, and merger and acquisition matters. Prior to joining Williams Mullen, Mark worked on the staff at the SEC in the Chief Counsel’s Office of the Division of Investment Management, where he developed substantial experience with SEC regulatory and compliance matters arising under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
His asset management experience focuses on registered funds (including both closed-end funds and business development companies), private funds, investment advisers, and new investment products. Mark earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is licensed to practice in Virginia and New York.
