Marla Dawn Keenan

Marla Dawn Keenan has concentrated her practice on family law since 1999. The California State Bar certified her as a Family Law Specialist in 2012. Being a Sonoma County resident, she attended the Rancho Cotate High School and obtained her BS degree from the University of California in 1994. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Empire School of Law in 1999. She acquired admission in the California Bar in the same year.

She joined the law firm, Perry Johnson, Anderson, Miller & Moskowitz LLP in 2002 as an associate. She focused her practice on handling issues related to separation, prenuptial, child custody, guardianship, adoption, litigation, appeals, property division, divorce for business owners, move away custody, and child support.

She became the firm’s first woman partner in 2012. She also serves as a Settlement Conference Panelist at the Sonoma County Family Law Court since 2008.

She is an active member of the Sonoma County Bar Association and serves as the Chair of its Special Events Committee since 2016. She is also on its Board of Directors since 2015. She served as the Secretary of its Family Law Section and on its Discovery Committee during the periods 2013-2014 and 2013-2015 respectively.

She is also a member of the Sonoma County Women in Law and has served as its Secretary from 2013 to 2015. She was a member of the American Inns of Court in 2002-2003.

Marla Keenan-Rivero strives for excellence in her law practice and holds herself, her staff, and her clients to the highest standards. She is capable of advocating aggressively. She is focused on attaining positive results and possesses an outstanding legal intellect.

The Martindale Hubbell honored her with the Client Distinction Award in 2012.
