Marlon D. Amprey is an associate in Venable’s Corporate Group in Baltimore. His practice encompasses a wide range of corporate transactional matters for clients that include Fortune 100 companies, international and regional entrepreneurs, privately held businesses, venture capitalists, underwriters, and investors of all descriptions.
Marlon graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. While in law school, he served as an associate editor for the Journal of Business Law. Marlon was the founding board member and symposium editor of the Independent Journal of Law and Public Affairs and an advocacy chair for the Black Law Student Association.
He also served as spokesperson for The Fund for Penn Law, as a teaching fellow for the James Wilson Project, and as a Civil Rights project research fellow.
Marlon is a 2009 Teach for America Alumnus. Prior to attending law school, Marlon worked as a lead teacher at The Seed School of Maryland, where he led an entire grade level and represented teacher academic interests in hearings with school officials and family representatives.
