Martin Wasserman

Martin J. Wasserman is a seasoned adviser to his clients on a wide range of business matters. His clients are made up of a mix of financial institutions and growing businesses. Martin represents his clients in and outside of the courtroom providing them invaluable advice to meet their business needs.

For his financial institution clients, he provides counsel through the life cycle of every loan transaction. He has over a decade of experience in maximizing recovery of troubled assets. He is experienced in federal, state and bankruptcy courts and consistently takes an approach which increases recoveries while minimizing costs.

At every step of the process Martin is constantly striving to improve the position of the financial institutions he represents to increase their recovery while minimizing both exposure and the time the troubled loan is outstanding.

For his business clients, Martin provides advice throughout the business life cycle. He assists his clients during both their creation and growth stages. For many of his clients he serves as their outside general counsel providing them daily advice on how to grow their business while avoiding legal pitfalls. He is responsive and always keeps the clients’ long-term goals in mind every step of the way.

While in law school, Martin served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Lee Preston of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division and was a six-time winner of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for placing top in his class. Martin is admitted to practice in Illinois and Wisconsin.
