Martine E. Cicconi focuses her practice on federal and state appellate litigation. She is experienced in issues relating to administrative and constitutional law.Prior to joining Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, Ms. Cicconi served as associate counsel in the Office of the White House Counsel, where she provided policy and legal advice on a variety of matters, including congressional oversight of the Executive Branch.
Ms. Cicconi was previously employed at the Department of Justice where she served as an attorney-advisor in the Office of Legal Counsel and a Bristow Fellow at the Office of the Solicitor General. Ms. Cicconi clerked for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the U.S. Supreme Court and Chief Judge Merrick B. Garland on the D.C. Circuit.Ms. Cicconi received her J.D. in 2010 from Stanford University, where she served as managing editor of the Stanford Law Review.
