Mary Myers

Mary Alexander Myers’ practice focuses on a range of technology transactions and cybersecurity and data privacy matters. She counsels clients on data privacy issues, outsourcing transactions, technology transactions, and other related matters.

Mary Alexander advises clients on data breach response and other information security-related issues, including pre-breach cybersecurity risk assessment and management, compliance, response preparedness, and other risk mitigation activities.

She frequently speaks on technology and cyber-related issues and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Mary Alexander counsels clients on strategic intellectual property and technology matters and works with clients on day-to-day operational issues relating to technology, intellectual property, electronic commerce, and privacy.

She has worked with a wide range of clients in various industries, including public companies, as well as growing technology-driven businesses and start-ups. She also has litigation experience, particularly in FCRA litigation and state regulatory proceedings.

Mary Alexander maintains an active pro bono practice and involvement in the Atlanta community. She serves as a member of the board of directors of the Truancy Intervention Project, a nonprofit aimed at legal and educational advocacy for children in public schools.

She received a Glenda Hatchett Volunteer of the Year Award from the Truancy Intervention Project in 2014 and 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia for her representation of children in Juvenile Court truancy proceedings.
