Mason D. Roberts is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP.
During law school, Mason was a summer associate in Foley’s Chicago office. He also served as a legal intern for Anixter International in Glenview, Illinois, where he collaborated with in-house attorneys on internal investigations, employment-related claims, and legal research.
Prior to law school, Mason worked as a conflicts analyst at a Chicago-based law firm. Additionally, Mason was a case manager for an immigration law firm in San Francisco, where he assisted attorneys with visa applications and removal defense cases.
He also met with Spanish-speaking clients to coordinate the collection of documents and information, and provided translation for in-person asylum and adjustment of status interviews.
Education :
Mason earned his law degree from Duke University School of Law (J.D., 2018), where he was a Moot Court Board Member, 2018 Dean’s Cup Semifinalist and 2016 Intramural Jessup Cup Semifinalist.
Mason participated in the Wrongful Convictions Clinic, where he served as second chair in a week-long re-sentencing hearing to secure modification of a client’s life without possibility of parole sentence.
He also assisted in negotiating a sentence modification with the District Attorney’s Office, which resulted in immediate release from custody for another clinic client who had been imprisoned for over 20 years.
