Matt Munson is the lead attorney and founder of M.A. Munson Law. He dedicates his legal practice to bankruptcy, criminal defense, corporate law, estate planning, and personal injury. In all of these areas, he is attentive, knowledgeable, and committed to helping his clients achieve the best possible result based on their unique needs and goals, and the facts associated with each respective case.
Matt went to college at The University of Utah in Salt Lake City, graduating with his Bachelors of Science degree in Political Science. He went on to attend law school at The S.J. Quinney College of Law at The University of Utah, where he received his Juris Doctorate degree.
While at The S.J. Quinney College of Law, Matt was appointed to represent the school in the ASUU Senate. He also completed an internship with the Utah State Senate, served as the President of the Federalist Society, and worked in the Tax & Revenue and Education & Health Divisions at the Utah Attorney General’s Office as a law clerk.
Matt is a member of the Utah Bar Association, Southern Utah Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Washington County Board of Realtors. He is active in a number of local organizations in the community. He helped establish and fund a nonprofit organization called the Utah Sports Academy and is a frequent speaker on topics including bankruptcy, estate planning, asset protection, and corporate law.
Matt is passionate about supporting and helping our nation’s veterans and their families. For many years, he has been actively engaged in such causes as Wills for Heroes and The Wounded Warrior Project. Locally, Matt works to support and help veterans and their families while they are deployed.
