Attorney Matthew Bailey was given birth to and bred in Huntsville, Alabama. The experiences he had pointed him in the direction to value the necessity of investing back to his community in several ways. Matt graduated from Virgil Grissom High School in Huntsville, Alabama. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama. In University, he majored in political science and minored in history and liberal. He is also a graduate of the Honors College.
Matt obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University Of Alabama School Of Law. At law school, he was the recipient of a Certificate in Public Interest Law, Order of Samaritan Award and Dean’s Community Service Award. He is also admitted to the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society.
As a law student, Matthew served as a research assistant concentrated on Constitutional Law matters. He also served as an intern at the Community Law Office – Jefferson County Public Defender’s Office for 18 months. At the time of his service in the office, his passion for securing the rights of citizens of Birmingham from injustice was kindled.
Matthew’s desire to secure the indigent in the community propelled him to choosing the career path of a lawyer and a strong interest in criminal and appellate law. He is a confident advocate championing the rights of people who have been downtrodden. He recognizes that it is his responsibility as an American to make sure that their interests are protected with the best representation available.
