He handles major issues concerning immigration such as asylum, deportation defense, waivers, border issues, green cards, family-based immigration, business, naturalization, and more on both sides of the U.S. and Canada border.

He routinely handles cases such as Criminal and Civil Matters as well as Appeals of Immigration before State and Federal Courts including the Board of Immigration Appeals. He has successfully undertaken criminal defense cases in Federal and State courts.

Matthew Borowski is an unwavering champion of civil rights and freedoms as well as a thoughtful and diligent advocate. He wanted to become a lawyer to give a voice to the people whose rights are otherwise trampled upon and has worked towards it each day in his over five years of practice.

The Drexel Magazine of the Drexel University granted him 40 Under 40 Award in 2018. The United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit qualified and admitted him as an attorney and counselor in 2015.

He passed the Barrister’s Examination and the Solicitor’s Examination in 2014 and went on to receive the license as a Barrister and Solicitor in Ontario from the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2015. He also received the NCA Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation at the Federal of Law Societies of Canada in 2014.

He obtained the admission and qualified to as an attorney in the state of New York as well as before the United States Western District Court of New York in 2013. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Drexel University Earle Mack School of Law while graduating with honors in 2012.

During law school, he studied appellate practice and procedure. He has successfully practiced before federal and state courts in complex criminal and immigration appeals. He has a rich experience in representing individuals in removal proceedings both in the Immigration Courts and before the Board of Immigration Appeals.

He served as a Certified Legal Intern at the Appellate Litigation Clinic Drexel in 2010-2011. He has also gained experience working on landlord & tenant issues, consumer law, contracts, and other civil issues at South Jersey Legal Services in Vineland, New Jersey while serving as a Student Attorney in 2011.

He has worked on many complex immigration cases involving waivers, visas, asylum, and deportation defense at a non-profit immigrant aid organization called Nationalities Service Center in Philadelphia in 2011-2012.

Matthew Borowski mainly handles cases concerning immigration, criminal defense, and appellate practice, and has won many high-profile immigration cases that have received significant media coverage. He speaks Farsi, English, and Spanish languages.

He has not only practiced in courts throughout the state of New York but has also appeared in Immigration Courts throughout the United States. He has obtained memberships of professional associations such as the New York State Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Bar Association of Erie County and its Appellate Practice Committee.
